Missions/Outreach Associate

Reports to:  Missions Pastor

Position Description: 
Assist with the design and implementation of the Missions and Outreach ministry of Southeast, where we’re building a culture of tangible expressions of service by all members.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Focused on, but not limited to, Latino people groups; locally, domestically, and internationally.
• Regularly developing our existing Latino world ministry/mission/outreach partnerships.
• Regularly discovering and ongoing awareness of potential Latino partnerships.
• Conduct site visits to existing or potential Latino ministry partners, as required or directed.
• Actively involved with the development of short-term missions ethos, practice and opportunities.
• Actively involved with training, equipping, and at times joining, short-term mission teams, as required or directed.
• Actively involved with the benevolence committee in response to weekly benevolence requests.
• Willing to embrace and eager to promote our mission’s and outreach philosophy:

Essential Skills and Abilities:
• Spanish language fluency, this role will have a Latino-world focus.
• 2+ years missions/outreach ministry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree related to ministry field and/or International Development.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to develop people.
• Intermediate computer skills including the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Must be able, and excited, to work as a team member.
• Must be positive, cooperative, self-motivated, and courteous while maintaining a professional attitude.

Time Requirements:
These responsibilities will be performed in 40-45 hours/week and will require international travel.
